I have a vehicle loan through Exeter Finance. I am XXXX XXXX and Covid slowed business to almost a halt for a few months. I contacted them and let them know my situation and they gladly deferred two payments to the end of the loan and informed me that they would not show up as late payments since they were deferred and no balance was owed. I am currently in the process of trying to secure a home loan and come to find out, BOTH payments were reported as late. This is the only thing holding back my approval. I have called Exeter to try and reason with them to no avail. I have sent goodwill letters explaining again with no response. My history with them and all of my other accounts is exceptional besides those derogatory remarks.
