On XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the ER. I called the hospital and all my bills with them are resolved which included over {$8000.00} in XXXX of that year for a series of rabies shots ; all my accounts have been resolved and I paid them on time. Now, they told me that apparently the ER doctors bill separately through a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX. To my knowledge, I never received a bill or a call from them, but they sent my information to a debt collector. This debt collector allegedly ( according to them ) sent me ONE letter on XXXX of XXXX, TWO YEARS after this event happened, for which I had no outstanding balance with the hospital, or quite frankly, recollection. The debt collector in question is Assetcare of XXXX, Texas. I have received no voicemails, and they sent my information to a credit reporting agency after only sending one letter which I never received. if I would have seen a bill from a debt collector I would have called immediately, as I did in this instance since I value my credit, and I was told it was already affecting it unless I paid this debt which I never received a bill for until it was already reported. These people had no problem ruining my credit for {$180.00}.
