I contacted Kia Motors Finance on XX/XX/2022 and I spoke with an associate named XXXX. This associate verbally agree to settle a debt based on a previous offer from a debt collection company. She instructed me to send her a copy of the settlement letter via email and provided her email address. She stated that once this was complete that she would call me to collect the settlement amount. I called her back on XXXX XXXX the new associate refused to transfer me to XXXX and the stated that they would not be settle the debt even though the previous associate had agreed. I asked why we could no longer settle for the previously agreed upon amount and I was told that a new supervisor did not approve it and they would not be honoring what the previous associate told me was a firm agreement. The associate refused to let me speak to the associate or to a XXXX.
