XXXXCardinal Financial paid a renewal hazard insurance payment to a company I had cancelled with. I had secured a new insurance company. Because the old insurance had almost doubled in price, my escrow for hazard insurance almost tripled. My new insurance company has since requested payment. The payment for the renewal of the old policy has not yet been returned. I have had to put the payment back into escrow without the old payment having been returned to me. I asked that my escrow for hazard insurance be discontinued, since the error made by XXXXCardinal can potentially be repeated. I was told no. I do not want decisions regarding my finances being made without my knowledge or permission.
