I received a letter from Weltman, Weinberg and Reis stating that I owe almost {$10000.00} for being an uninsured motorist involved in a car accident. I informed them that I have car insurance, have not been involved in any accidents and that the attempted debt collection was a mistake. They responded by sending a letter again demanding the {$10000.00} and this time including a police report stating the name of the driver at fault ( not my name ), the car involved ( not my car ) and the location of the accident ( a location that I have never been to ). It should have been quite obvious before sending the second letter that I have no involvement in this case. The case number is XXXX.
