Regarding Target XXXX XXXX. I changed banks for my personal checking. My autopay with Target would not allow me to change the account because it was too close to the due date. I therefore paid the entire balance of the statement on XXXX. My bank statement and their own statement confirm a {$0.00} balance on XXXX. Despite this, they ran the autopay to the now closed account. This of course resulted in a decline of charges, and the Target XXXX charged me a {$28.00} fee for returned payment. I called, and the reps ( 2 ) both agreed that on the date of autopay, no money was due. However no one will refund the {$28.00}. This is fraud. Autopay is not suppose to run if no money is due. They made a mistake, and although they admit to it, I am being held to pay for their mistake. Attached you will find my XX/XX/2021 Statement with a balance of {$33.00}. You will also find my XX/XX/2021 Statement showing {$33.00} paid XXXX. Then there is an autopay for {$28.00} on XXXX. This is the amount in dispute, because on that date, there was no money due, as the statement had been paid, and autopay should not have been run. I know this is a small amount of money, but it is the principle. I do not owe this. I have paid all but the {$28.00} and cancelled my Target XXXX. I just need help to reconcile this issue, which I have refused to pay. Thank you. XXXX XXXX
