Consumer Narrative
This is a follow-up to complaint # XXXX, filed during XXXX. When I was notified, after waiting almost a year for a response, that the bank had refunded me for approximately {$3000.00} in NSF fees, I was pleased and went to my local branch during XX/XX/XXXX to attempt to withdraw the funds from the old, closed account. However, I was informed that the entire balance had once again been taken out. Some of the charges that I was told about ( despite asking, I never got an actual statement or accounting of how my money disappeared again ) appeared to be legitimate transactions that were initiated automatically by various companies that I do e-business with, such as XXXX. However, I was told that my account was emptied of the entire {$3000.00} PLUS, more NSF fees were charged even after that. I expressed disbelief that all of the money was gone and that the account had gone negative again and was promised by the branch manager that I would be emailed all of the details of the transactions, which I never got. So, once again, I am left with nothing. I am astonished that Santander feels emboldened to pull this on me again, but here we are. Please help me to regain the {$3000.00} that was taken from my account, less any charges that can be substantiated as approporiate. Hopefully this time, it won't take nearly a year to get Santander to respond.
