My first student loan payment to Sallie Mae was due on XX/XX/2021 in the amount of {$310.00}. I can not afford this amount per month as I am in my first job since i graduated college. I have tried to get ahold of sallie mae on many different occasions and by many different ways of communication. Every time I call, I can not get to an agent because they are always " busy '', even when i stay on the hold line for XXXX minutes. when I tried to communicate with them via their online chat system I went through the automated message system before choosing the option to speak with an agent and again was told that all agents were busy and I should try again at a later time/date. Additionally, in my time chatting with the automated message system, i was told that sallie mae does not offer any type of income based repayment options and only offer deferment for those participating in an internship or residency. This causes concern that I will not have another option, especially considering they are almost impossible to get ahold of regardless of how much they preach that they are there for work with you.
