I received a call from Sequium Asset Solutions on XX/XX/22. They immediately asked me to verify my name and address. I replied saying I am more comfortable with her telling me what they have on file and I will confirm if it is correct. The lady ended the call. I called back and told the person who answered what happened and she asked for my name which I gave her. She gave me their website, www.sequium.com and a reference # so that I could look up my account. I kept her on the phone so that she could walk me through the screens. I put in the reference number and then it prompted me to enter the last 4 of my SSN which I entered, to no avail. I entered the last 4 of my SSN twice and got an error message saying it was invalid. The lady on the phone instructed me to enter 5900 which worked. I told her those number are not the last four of my SSN, but she said that is what they have on file. Also the address they have on file for me is from 7 years ago and she wanted me to give her my current address, which I refused. I then asked her who the original debtor is and she said it should show the name of the hospital on the screen next to 'Original Creditor ' but that information is not present. I told her their claim of my owing {$430.00} to an unknown party doesn't seem legit and that I plan to report them to the FTC. I then ended the call.
