On XX/XX/XXXX, I called village capitol about my payment, why it has never cleared. The lady on the phone said they never received it. I then explained that my bank sent a check for XXXX dollars to them on the XX/XX/XXXX and it reached XXXX texas on the XXXX. They said that they have had problems with the XXXX mailbox. I asked her why they had not gone to the post office or checked the post office box for the payment, she said she did not know why it had not been picked up or recieved. I then called my bank they said they had sent it, I then looked online account and it showed it had been sent and recieved at XXXX post office. When I called back after XXXX I told them I would stop payment and call them to make the XXXX payment she then replies that there would be a late fee attached I then asked why she said because they never recieved it. I then said you lost my payment why shouold I be charged a late fee for your mistake, she said again that they had to because it was late. I hung up and called them the day before new years eve and made the payment with the late fee.
