Hello - In XXXX of 2016 I refinanced our mortgage and went through the normal procedures through the old and new leinholder, as well as the title company. The title company sent the funds to pay off the old mortgage and we received a letter a couple weeks later saying the loan was paid and closed. On my credit report they loan shows up as " Legally paid in full for less than the full balance. '' This is the only negative entry on my credit report. It shows up as a " major delinquency '' of great than 60 days. I've attempted twice to dispute it and they have refused to remove this negative item from my report. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CA XXXX, ( XXXX ) XXXX, is the entity that provided the payoff to the title company, which they paid. If there would have been additional money needed shouldn't they have asked for it? We would have of course paid, but when we asked they said no funds were due. I would like this removed from my account as it is impacting my credit score through no fault of mine.
