Today XXXX XXXX, I received a call from XXXX ( which I found out too late that it was a scam ) at XXXX call came from XXXX. The person on the other end told me that I was passed due on my light bill and this was their last attempt to contact me before they shut off my power. They told me that they needed {$330.00} today in order to keep my lights on and that XXXX had sent out a letter that needed to be filled out because they have a new way of processing now by using Zelle. ( I'm such a fool ). I sent the {$330.00} and then they proceeded to tell me that because I was delinquent that I needed to put down a {$500.00} deposit and will be reimbursed in 90 days as long as I stay current on my bill.
