I refinance my house and decided to pay off a few high interest loans one of them was the company XXXX that I used during my divorce in 2020. The mortgage company or perhaps the escrow company or maybe the title company admitted to a mistake on my payoff. They paid off my credit card with XXXX instead. It took me a few days to discover the error. Once I discovered the error everyone was off for the holiday. So I took additional time to get a response. They said their hands were tied and they could not move the money back from XXXX to XXXX and admitted their mistake. I had to get a cash out check that cost me {$390.00} to send to XXXX to pay off them. Now my credit card is maxed out and Im going to be charged 10.9 % interest and it will take me 17 years and over {$15000.00} in interest to pay off their mistake. I spoke with them several times over email and telephone. They sent me a small check of {$260.00} to cover my expenses but the expenses are now {$300.00} more not to mention the {$17000.00} it will cost me to pay this off as it shouldve been paid off when I refinance my house through Veterans United.
