Like many people, my family and I were impacted financially by Covid 19. In XXXX of 2020 I was forced to close my business because of the effects of the pandemic. This caused financial hardship for me and unfortunately caused me to become past due on four payments with my Capital One Credit card ending in XXXX. Fortunately, I was able to find a new job and things are starting to get back on track now. Since XXXX of 2020 all of my payments have been on time and I believe that I have demonstrated I am a valuable customer for Capital One. I have reached out to Capital One several times in regards to removing the late payments in 2020 since they were caused by a natural disaster, and I have been given very little information. I have made 13 attempts since XXXX and each attempt ends with me being disconnected or being told that there are no options for me. The Terms and Conditions when setting up my account did not address a natural disaster relative to the same scope as Covid. I also hired XXXX XXXX for 3 months to help me dispute these late payments and have not been successful. I spent several hundred dollars trying to have my credit repaired by experts and help me demonstrate my responsibility. I have been honest with Capital One and I am not asking for anything for free. I have demonstrated 12 months of on-time payments and I am asking for relief due to this pandemic. I take great pride in my credit as it was nearly XXXX prior to the financial impact of Covid 19. I am requesting that Capital One remove late payments from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX of 2020 for my Credit Card ending in XXXX. By viewing my accounts with Capital One and my years and years of being a customer, it is obvious that all best efforts were made to keep my accounts current, and that my payment history was flawless up until the Pandemic.
