I recently sent at dispute letter to Equifax on XX/XX/XXXX in regards to a line of credit with a credit union. Upon reviewing my credit report, I realized that Equifax was reporting an incorrect " Last Activity '' date and not reporting a closed date for the account ( although showing that the account was closed ). In actuality, the account was paid off in XX/XX/XXXX. If the account was truly verified, as they've mentioned that they did previously, then an updated date of Last Activity would've been updated to reflect the true last activity date and a closed date. Equifax, instead of completing a requested investigation, only sent out a false dispute result.
