On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed a hard inquiry on my credit report by XXXX XXXX XXXX that was not from my activity. I immediately contacted Experian, through whom, contacted XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. They were not able to locate the account since looking up my name and social didn't not bring up any record. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that a new account was open on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX XXXX, again, not from my activity. I once again contacted Experian and filed a dispute. I also talked to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, where they compared my information with the information of the account on file and told me that it was a different person ( the person has a similar but different name, different phone number, however, I lived on the same street that they are living right now, they also opened the account without a social security number and used a passport, it was not my passport information, they used their XXXX ID as well, where I was also a student and had an ID but XXXX XXXX XXXX compared the information and told me that it wasn't the same ) and I'd have to dispute with Experian. So now I know it wasn't identity theft and a mistake on the credit bureau. However, I received the dispute result and it says that XXXX XXXX XXXX confirmed that the information was accurate. In addition, they added this person 's address to my report ( it is a dorm building i once lived in but I didn't live in the same room, now they added this one to my report as well ) as well as changed my birth year on my credit report to match this person 's. I tried to update the dispute by adding more documents but was not able to. I am not even able to open a dispute to change the year of birth or remove the street address.
