I wrote to loandepot on XX/XX/XXXX to solve the issue that has been there for months! Here is a copy of the email I sent to them : .I am writing to request correcting my mortgage payment record in XX/XX/XXXX for account # XXXX ( Property address in XXXX CA XXXX ). Considering LoanDepot 's good reputation, out of my great trust, I engaged 3 mortgages refi with Loandepot agent XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). In mid XX/XX/XXXX, the refi for these 3 accounts were successfully concluded. On Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX wrote me with her team supervisor XXXX XXXX XXXX cc'ed ( Screenshot of the Email attached below ) informing that my loans were being sold. In early XXXX, in order to understand where things are, payment set up details, I called customer service. LoanDepot specialist XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX ; XXXX ) XXXX ext. XXXX ) answered my questions and told me that given these XXXX loans were sold, according to the Federal Law, there is a 60 day protection period for the accounts transfer, which means no late fee, no interests, no late payment record will be applied to my these accounts. He said it is perfectly fine to combine two months payment in one as long as its within the grace period and I dont " need to worry. To make sure what his advice is accurate, I found the Official Interpretation on Consumer Finance Regulation 1024. 33 ( c ) " Borrower payments during transfer of servicing '' quoted from consumerfinance.gov, ( Comment for 1024.33 - Mortgage Servicing Transfers | Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( consumerfinance.gov ), which clearly verifies what I was informed by your specialist. In early XXXX, I then made all my 3 loan payments covered both XXXX and XXXX dues on the same day within 20 mins. I received system generated notifications showing all these 3 payments were received by LoanDepot on XX/XX/XXXX ( screenshot attached below ). And as expected, in the following month statements, there is no late fees nor penalties applied to these accounts since my payments were received within the grace period. ( Concerned account XXXX statement screenshot attached below ). Surprisingly, during a background check including credit report by my potential employer, it was found that this loan account # XXXX has a " late payment '' mark showing up in credit report agencies ' record. This error resulted in a significant decrease of my credit score and even more devastating, my employment process pending. I, therefore, request correction of this error and resolve this issue with the credit report agencies. I understand that this loan ( along with another one ) was sold to XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX. But the previous inaccurate record still is attached to my credit report. I absolutely can not afford this error to continue impacting my finances and my career in the year to come.
