Both my bank and myself have tried to get these XXXX to correct my balance to XXXX. They don't seem to understand that my original loan was incorrectly input into the system so the bank changed its status and re-reported it. They closed the incorrect loan and reported it as a collateralized loan but I then paid off the entire loan on XX/XX/XXXX. I have spoken many time with both Equifax and XXXX and they can't figure out their XXXX from deep center field. I have even sent them legal documents from XXXX showing the loan to be paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX, ( not to be confused with the original loan paid off in XXXX ). There should be 2 loans for the same amount, both paid in full. One loan paid off in XX/XX/XXXX and the other paid off on XX/XX/XXXX reported XX/XX/XXXX. I am going to attach the paperwork sent to the credit bureau and to me. It is the loan being released and paid from the State of AL to XXXX XXXX head of the loan XXXX XXXX XXXX Bank. At this point I am going to obtain legal counsel and then they will be paying for my legal bills. I am trying to refinance my house on a lower APR and they are causing me harm and if my rate goes up because they will not remove the inaccurate information, then my only option is to sue for the difference in my APR over the life of the loan. It seems both XXXX and XXXX have educated people working for them, instead of XXXX. I don't understand why they can't figure this out. It is simple and it has been a problem since my update. They also did not update my information for 2 months, which is inexcusable. They need to hire more highly skilled people instead of people that didn't graduate High School.
