I have an Indigo credit card by Genesis FS. Ive had the card for one year. The minimum payment has been {$40.00} every month. I have not used the card since XXXX. They added a {$99.00} annual service fee in XXXX. The limit is {$300.00}. The balance is now {$360.00} bc of their fee. The minimum payment went from {$40.00} to {$100.00}. The people in XXXX are telling me I overdrafted the card bc its over but its their fee. The minimum should still be {$40.00}. It should not skyrocket to {$100.00} because of their annual fee. I asked the guy in XXXX if I just pay {$68.00} to get the card under the limit will that work but I dont want my credit report being hit with a late. HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT A CREDIT REPORT WAS. This is absurd. How is that possible? This is predatory. They shouldnt be able to do this to people with bad credit, who are their clients. Im trying to rebuild my credit. They shouldnt be allowed to do that and they should have people working for them with basics knowledge of how credit reporting works. Ive attached my balance statement. The payment history of {$40.00} a month and the {$99.00} annual fee.
