I went to see a XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Ga, during the summer of 2018 which recommended I perform a certain procedure, to which I only agreed to if it was covered by my insurance. After assuring me many times that it would be covered, I went ahead with the procedure. A few months later, a bill arrived for {$210.00}. I tried reminding them of their assurance to me that it would be covered by my insurance, to no avail. They were adamant about me being fully liable for the bill. I attempted to negotiate to only be liable for half of the bill. They dismissed me and sent the bill to a collection agency, Carter-Young Inc XXXX I immediately contacted the collection agency and made the full payment on XX/XX/2018 ( payment auth code : XXXX ). It was subsequently removed from my credit report immediately. I had assumed it was all taken care of until we applied to refinance our home in XXXX of this year. Apparently, the medical center had sent a new bill to the collection agency within two weeks after receiving full payment for the original bill. We didn't receive any mailings or calls regarding this new bill for the past 3 years. So we went ahead and disputed this new bill at all XXXX reporting agencies but the collection agency ( Carter-Young ) is refusing to remove it. We're concern that if we pay this new bill, the medical center will repeat the same formula of sending a new bill for them to collect and for us to pay. Please help.
