Consumer Narrative
I sent LexisNexis two invoices for {$1000.00} each for their violation of 15 U.S. Code 1681b Permissible Purpose of Consumer Reports. Back in XX/XX/2021after I disputed a bankruptcy on my LexisNexis report, LexisNexis sent me a response letter to inform me that they had removed the bankruptcy from my report in accordance with the FCRA 15 U.S. Code 1681b. LexisNexis admitted their violation of this Consumer Law, by furnishing XXXX and XXXX my Bankruptcy information for a profit. The Law mentioned above clearly states what a permissible purpose is and that the ConsumeXXXX shall have consented, orally, in writing, or electronically to the procurement of the report by that person, in which I did not consent to. XXXX and XXXX has also confirmed that they received my bankruptcy information from LexisNexis after I conducted a dispute with them both. When I called LexisNexis on XX/XX/21 they gave me the run around and indicated that they didn't see my invoices I sent them. I informed LexisNexis that I sent the invoices via priority mail and that I have a tracking number that proves they received it on XX/XX/2021.All documents are attached to this complaint that will be needed for proof. I informed LexisNexis that the FCRA states that for every violation of the FCRA it can range anywhere from {$100.00} to {$1000.00}, and by them illegally reporting my bankruptcy information to the credit bureaus, it has caused problems. I have attached to this complaint a letter from XXXX Credit Card XXXX, informing me that I was turned down for credit because of a bankruptcy being reported on my credit report. I need for LexisNexis to honor these invoices attached to this complaint since they claim they can't find them, I'm sending them to LexisNexis again, so please see the attachments LexisNexis.
