Today on XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with a Capital One Representative XXXX. She was kind and professional. I inquired with her as to why Capital One has not increased my limit once in over 3 1/2 years? Supposedly every 6 months they can do so. Also, I inquired as to if I request an increase would that be a soft or hard pull on my credit? XXXX assured me that it was in fact a soft pull, and could not explain why I was never offered an increase. Today I was denied an increase on my Capital One credit card. I believe I am for some reason being discriminated against, and do not understand why. My credit scores with all 3 major credit bureaus range from XXXX. I missed one payment with Capital One in XXXX of XXXX. I have not missed one payment with Capital One or 16 other creditors since then to present. Needless to say my payment history is exceptional. I reduced my debt drastically over the course of XXXX. My debt utilization is under 10 %. Furthermore, I sent Capital One a goodwill letter this past year asking that they please delete the missed payment as I have always been responsible in paying off my debt with them. Capital One declined, and I know they can delete it as I spoke to lawyer. Capital One who is parent to Kohl 's credit cards shut my Kohl 's card down with notice damaging my credit history this year, because that card was well established for years. Capital One is not increasing me credit that I know I deserve. My credit reports show that lenders see me as very responsible. Capital One is treating me unfairly, and I am asking for the CFPB 's help as to why? I will upload some screen shots that are of my credit reports with all 3 bureaus.
