I received a thank you feedback email from Experian indicating if as a representative named XXXX had worked with an imposter and reviewed my account. Upon calling Experian, they weren't able to identify where the action came from. However, additionally, they were able to tell me someone had access to my account via an XXXX computer, of which I don't own through previous transactions logs. Per confirmation with Experian, when a caller calls in, all they would need to provide is the person 's name, social security number and birthday and any imposter can review the account as long as they have all the correct information. I've also submitted a security freeze online. If Experian has a system that sends a verbal code to the owner 's phone whenever a password needs to be reset, why hasn't the second level of authentication been added to prevent imposters.
