Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/2020, I sent an inquiry dispute letter to TransUnion asking to validate information with these companies and to provide me with copies of any documentation associated with these accounts bearing my signature, authorizing the inquiries pulled from my consumer report. I requested that in the absence of any such documentation bearing my signature, I requested that these fraudulent inquiries be immediately deleted from my consumer report. TransUnion sent a letter in the mail stating that they verified that the information that theyre reporting is correct. TransUnion failed to send and provide me with proof or documents obtaining my signature validating these inquires. They also failed to show me how they verified this information. Recently I received another inquiry I did not authorize. I contacted TransUnion and they refused to help me. I submitted an identity theft report. These inquires are not tied to an open account. Due to the fact that I have fraudulent inquires on my consumer report, I am unable to receive any lines of new credit. I cant no successfully apply for a credit card, an auto loan, etc because of the inquires on my consumer report that I did not give written or oral consent to obtain. According to Title 15 U.S. Code 1681 ( n ), under civil liability for willful noncompliance ( a ) In general Any person who willfully fails to comply with any requirement imposed under this subchapter with respect to any consumer is liable to that consumer in an amount equal to the sum of- ( 1 ) ( A ) any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or damages of not less than {$100.00} and not more than {$1000.00} ; or ( B ) in the case of liability of a natural person for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or {$1000.00}, whichever is greater ; I will submit documentation of a recently denied application from XXXX credit card. I was denied because of the fraudulent inquires reporting to my credit file.
