There was a credit card account with XXXX, which shows up as FEB-RETAIL in my name and made two attempts to apply for credit with XXXX XXXX XXXX I received and alert from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 about the XXXX account. Also, received bill from Genesis with several purchases of XXXX Laptops plus other purchases. I immediately called the company using the phone number on the bill. Once I got through to a Representative the asked for my name, address, phone number, and email address. When the Representative found that the email address was different she immediately connected me to the Fraud Department. I spoke with someone in the Fraud Department who closed the account and stated he would be sending me paperwork to fill out to report the the fraud. Also, I tried several times to reach/call XXXX XXXXXXXX that Saturday, but was left on hold so long several times that I gave up. Although, they applied for credit with XXXX XXXX the application was denied. They made two two attempts and were trying to get a a quick response from XXXX XXXX, because I received a second letter stating that they did not have to submit twice to get a response. However, it took approximately two weeks for the paperwork to arrive by mail. After speaking with the Fraud Department at Genesis FS Card Services, which was on Saturday I called my local police department. The Police Department sent and officer out to my home and he did a police report. The police officer also, took pictures of all documents I received from Genesis FS Card Services and from XXXX XXXX. The police officer gave me his badge number, name, police report file number, a contact number, and email address. The police officer told me to call him if any thing else came in the mail or unusual happens to immediately call the police department. I also, reported a strange vehicle parked while the mail was running, I tried to get a snapshot of the vehicles tag, but it did not have a tag. Additionally, the Genesis FS Card Services is on my credit report. I put freeze I my credit with all three consumer credit agencies and disputed the account with Genesis FS Card Services. Once, I received the paperwork from the Fraud Department at Genesis I called the police department to set up an appointment with the officer to come back out to my home and sign the the paperwork, so I could have a Notary sign and stamp the paperwork. Next, I called the police department to get a copy of the report to send to Genesis. I spoke with the investigator and she told me to file a report on XXXX regarding what happened to me. Honestly, I believe they came to my home and picked up their purchases when no one was home. Plus, we didnt have cameras.
