On XX/XX/XXXX I send a dispute to Equifax about the following account XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Opened : XXXX. XXXX, XXXX, Credit limit {$750.00} ) that was open by someone that stole my identity. With the dispute I also send Equifax an Identity Theft Affidavit. I have done my research and I know that Federal law as is stated on the FCRA, sections 605B, 615 ( f ) and 623 ( a ) ( 6 ), obligate the credit bureaus to delete the fraudulent information in my credit file within 4 days upon receipt of the correspondence. It's been over 30 days and the fraudulent account stills there, and that is preventing me from getting necessary financing.
