My credit report shows an account with XXXX XXXX that does not belong to me. I have contacted the credit bureau to let them know that I've never had any loans, credit cards, etc. with any company named XXXX XXXX and asked them to remove this erroneous account from my credit reports, but I'm not having any luck getting them to remove it. The credit bureau continues to say they have " verified '' this account belongs to me, but when I question how they " verified '' it, they just give me a scripted answer, citing " various sources for verifying information '' and tell me it is my responsibility to contact XXXX XXXX if I'm not happy with the results of their investigation. I shouldn't have to contact anyone, since I've never had an account with XXXX XXXX. Please contact the credit bureau and explain to them they need to take this erroneous account off of my credit report. Thank you.
