Consumer Narrative
This email is being sent with the hope of resolving a major issue that we currently have with a XXXX XXXX XXXX Back in XXXX of this year we ordered a new home through the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. We placed an order for a home direct from the factory in XX/XX/2021. The home was delivered to the dealership at the beginning of XX/XX/2021. Both ourselves and our general contractor made it clear to this dealership that our property was not ready for delivery and set up. However the dealership went ahead and delivered the new home on our property XXXX of XXXX and it has been parked there ever since. It was only blocked up and left due to the fact that none of the utilities were available to be hooked up to yet. Just this past week our general contractor finally got clearance to install a sewer system. Just a few days ago Vanderbilt Mortgage called us and told us our mortgage is already due. We explained to him that the house is only parked on our property and that no installation has been done. Vanderbilt Mortgage then told us they were told by the dealership that the house was transported and ready back on XX/XX/XXXX, which was a obvious lie. The house is just sitting on our property. We were told by the dealership that once the house was completed and ready to move into, our mortgage payments would come 2 months later. The reason we chose to have a XXXXXXXX XXXX is because I work for a company that has purchased many of these homes. They are very high quality and well built homes. However this dealership has lied to us. They made the promise that once our home was ready and that we took the keys, the first mortgage payment would not be there until 2 months later. Now we're paying two mortgages because our current house is not sold yet and our new home is not anywhere near being ready to live in yet. Let me make it quite clear both I and our general contractor made it clear to the dealership our land was not ready for that home and we told the dealership to keep it there at their lot until our lot was ready. However Vanderbilt Mortgage has been told that the house was moved, set up and ready on the XXXX of XXXX. It would appear the dealership was in a rush to get it off their lot so they could have funds in their account. This is an obvious breach of our agreement with the dealership. We are wishing for your immediate attention into this situation. Again I must emphasize that we still have faith that this is a quality home but it's not in our possession yet so why are we paying for it already? It also must be noted we don't even have the keys or any access to this home. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
