In XXXX, I went sent a letter in the mail that stated that a payment was missing and I called Home Point Financial. They could not understand what was going on with the account and told me they would investigate and call me back. When I didn't get a call back, the following week I called them again to inquire if the matter was fixed, since I didn't understand what the problem was. They again told me that they didn't understand what was wrong on their end and told me to please call back again, which I did. I called a third time in XXXX ( this should all be documented in their system and I'm now calling my phone company to get the phone logs ), they said everything was current and apologized. We were traveling during the month of XXXX and in early XXXX, when we were back at home, we received a letter in the mail stating that we had not paid our mortgage! I called the company immediately and was told we were late for XXXX months of payments, dating back to XX/XX/2021. Unbelievable! I asked the representative WHY this would have happened when we have always had automatic withdrawal from Home Point Financial itself. He asked me if we had changed anything with the checking account or routing number >> NO, NO, NO. Never changed anything. He informed me that it was a glitch on their end and apologized and took the 3 months of payments from me when I was on the phone XX/XX/XXXX. The representative said he would make notes to show the error was on their end and advised me to send an email to the Correspondence Dept at Home Point, which I did. I want a letter from Home Point showing and stating that this was their error for our records.
