I was on a 6-month payment plan ( I was unemployed due to COVID ) with Prosper starting in XX/XX/XXXX for $ XXXX and utilized the autopay feature ; and assumed my last {$200.00} payment would be XX/XX/XXXX21. However, when I received a payment confirmation on XX/XX/XXXX21, it stated that the payment would be for {$740.00}. I immediately called Prosper on XXXX/XXXX/21 and stated I thought my payment would be for {$200.00} and my checking account would be overdrawn with the {$740.00} payment. The Customer Service Representative stated she would request a refund and stated my payment should be for {$200.00} for the XX/XX/XXXX payment, then revert to a higher payment. She told me to wait for a few days to receive an email and refund, which I did not receive. I called Prosper on XXXX and spoke with a Customer Service Representative named XXXX XXXX XXXX was very polite and understanding and helpful and told me over and over that my payment of {$740.00} would definitely be returned, especially since my checking account is over {$900.00} overdrawn. He promised me the payment would be returned in a few days and someone from Prosper would call me to work out the details. Again I heard nothing until XXXX when I received an email from Prosper stating they would not be returning my payment. Now my checking account is overdrawn by {$1000.00}!! I called on XXXX and asked to speak to a manager, who was nice and understanding but stated there was nothing they could do and that I was told misinformation from the previous representatives. The manager stated it was Prosper 's fault but could not return my payment or offer to pay the overdraft fees due to the misinformation. All he could do was turn off the auto pay feature on the account.
