I applied for a American express business platinum card in mid-XXXX while I was visiting XXXX. The site stated it would award XXXX membership reward points. Meanwhile, American express sent me a solicitation email promising to award XXXX points. I called AMEX and sent all the required documentation. I didn't hear from AMEX. I called after a month and explained and provided more details. I didn't hear anything. I called again and was told the solicitation was not meant for me. How is it possible when the letter is sent to me. I was promised I will receive an email within a week. So far I haven't received any email. I am contesting, AMEX 's argument that it was not meant for me. In that case why did it send me the mail, wasted my time, and resources to shred the letter. AMEX is ingenuous about the whole situation and trying to stiff the customer.
