Refinanced mortgage with lender had a impound account with Dovenmuehle mortgage services located in XXXX IL, 5 years ago. This particular company did not report to me that my wife and I had a overage of over XXXX dollars. No check in the mail, no notice, no phone call. They held on to it for 5 years now it sits in Californias unclaimed property trust that I have to jump through hoops to obtain. Californias trust just received it 3 months ago. When I called Dovenmuehle 6 months ago, I informed them I have documentation that I had a impound account with them on a previous mortgage they said I had to contact CA and would no longer talk to me. Thanks again
