XXXX XXXX, XXXX Department for PennyMAc received our request to change the occupancy ( a form in the paperwork ) from residential in order for us to purchase another home ( better security area, more convenient to work location, etc. ). XXXX XXXX spoke with me for 15 minutes. I am an XXXX XXXX with a XXXX XXXX XXXX. She asked me to verify XXXX, XXXX and address. She asked me if renting, what would I rent our current home for since our current mortgage is {$1400.00} ( we pay more than minimum each month ). The current home has pool table, large rooms, in close proximity to large naval base/airport, etc. ). XXXX XXXX never XXXX for documentation to show we have over {$31000.00} in a savings account for emergencies. She did not ask for documentation showing $ $ $ in our XXXX, nor documentation showing $ $ $ in a XXXX, nor asked if we had mortgage insurance with PennyMac as beneficiary in case we died ( to protect their interest ). XXXX XXXX of the Research Department determined that we, XXXX Americans, do not need to purchase an investment property and said " we must sell our current home '' as the only option available to us. Her letter did not state any other options, did not provide a PennyMac phone number to escalate or request an appeal. XXXX XXXX of the XXXX Department failed to accurately review ALL pages of the VA Mortgage documents and violated veteran 's rights to appeal.
