For months I have been trying to have an account that I did not recognize and therefore was fraudulent from my consumer credit report. The account being referenced is from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have disputed this account with the credit reporting agency several times, asking them to not just verify but validate that this account belongs to me. Each time I either received no response at all, for our received a very generic one or two sentence response, which I can only assume is in auto response form letter that does not provide the information I requested in regards to how the account was validated. Specifically, what method was used, what phone number/address was used, who was spoken to, and what documentation was provided to them that allow them to reach this conclusion. Which is also required by law to ensure that they conduct a reasonable investigation, and not just be able to say whatever they want, but have to actually prove it. I have also reached out to the creditor that was listed on this account. Both by phone, and certified mail. By phone the individuals I spoke to informed me that they do not have any account by my name or by the listed account number on their records. So I sent letters via certified mail to the addresses listed for the creditors on my consumer credit report on Those letters were received on And as of this time I have not received a response from them. Which puts them out of the 30 days they are allowed by law to respond which makes the nail noncompliant which means this account must now be removed immediately. Here is a list of all the letters I have sent regarding this matter along with the dates they were sent, the dates they were received, and the response.
