I am the mortgagee on a mortgage held by Caliber Home Loans. I requested a mortgage verification via my account portal on XX/XX/2021 for the purpose of having the mortgage financed by another mortgage company. I requested that the mortgage verification be emailed to me. I was told via phone that the verification would be forthcoming within 48 hours. I received nothing so I recontacted Caliber via my account portal on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive a response so I called them on XXXX XXXX was told that they could provide the verification via phone and to have the other mortgage company contact them. They followed up with a response via my account portal on XX/XX/XXXX that their representative addressed my concerns on XX/XX/XXXX. I requested that the mortgage verification be sent to me via email so I would have it in writing. I still received nothing. I had told them that this request was time sensitive on XX/XX/XXXX as the mortgage was being refinanced and the new mortgage company needed the verification. I received a response on XX/XX/XXXX saying that my request was being referred and that it could take up to 30 days for processing. In the meantime, the other mortgage company dropped the application due to not receiving the mortgage verification from Caliber. This is unacceptable and appears to be a way for Caliber Home Loans mortgage to impede my effort to refinance or to have the. mortgage financed by a company other than Caliber. My payments with Caliber have always been timely.
