After noticing an account on my consumer file, I immediately mailed a notice under 15 U.S. Code 1692g - Validation of debts. ( A ) to ensure that the amounts were accurate. After receiving a notice saying Account Validated, I mailed a notice via Certified mail for Re-Investigation under 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy 1 ( A ), After XXXX days and not hearing anything back, On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I received a notice from a consumer reporting agency that a charge off for the same account appeared on my consumer file whilst the validity & procedures was being re-investigated in direct violation of federal compliance laws. To escape verifying it appears the alleged creditor has attempted to charge off this account in error.
