Consumer Narrative

Complaint : XXXX Not Resolved Complaint : XXXX Not Resolved Equifax closed the above XXXX without issues resolved after 5 months. Equifax pulled my credit report when expressly instructed not to - and did so 3 more times. This is way past the 30 day limit to resolve issues. I am keeping records of all issues and follow up actions and have been doing so throughout these months : The following are items I will call CFPB directly to discuss resolution, since Equifax has clearly ignored instructions not to pull my credit, to remove excessive pulls, and instead they have made new excessive pulls : 1. Equifax continues to send the wrong name on Address Labels and Greeting *** ( NOT the REPORT ) *** They closed the complaints about this and their response refers to a fix related to " your credit file '' which prove they did not read the issue, and they provided no proof of resolution whatsoever. ( See Attached Wrong Name XXXXon Address and Greeting NOT the REPORT*** ) - These attachments are from Equifax received XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. No fix is present. NOTE : The issue with Equifax 's Address labels and greetings have no connection and nothing to do with my credit report. My credit report should not have been pulled : THERE SHOULD BE NO PULL : NO SOFT PULL OR OTHERWISE TO MY CREDIT IN ANY WAY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD MY CREDIT BE PULLED as a result of this or any prior complaints. 2. 3 NEW EXCESSIVE PULLS ( See Attached Excessive Pulls, and 3 New Excessive Soft Pulls since my explicit request that my credit NOT be pulled at all ) : My complaint included pictures of excessive pulls to my credit after errors that Equifax injected. My complaint included XXXX instructions NOT TO PULL MY CREDIT. My complaint included the request that they remove the excessive pulls they have made from XXXX until now, which they did not do. Instead and against my express instructions Equifax one again pulled my credit excessively 3 MORE TIMES after I explicitly instructed them not to pull my credit. When I checked to see if anything else was resolved, I found that errors from prior reports had reemerged again just as they have before at Equifax, once again reinforcing that Equifax continues to inject errors into reports even after every attempt is made to correct them and when expressly told not to touch the credit report at all. 3. Retaliatory Behavior : Equifax reduced my score by XXXX points* with no discernable change to the credit information reported from the prior report they ran in XXXX ( see attachment ). The only thing I asked them to do was correct their address labels and greeting and remove excessive soft pulls WITHOUT ANY SOFT PULLS TO MY CREDIT REPORT AT ALL. A reduction of XXXX points with no changes to my excellent credit history appears to be retaliatory behavior from Equifax toward a consumer for consistently reporting their errors, errors which I will continue to escalate until they are resolved. With two closed complaints and no fix to their apparent inability to get a consumers name right an a simple address label and greeting, apparently this is not ending any time soon. I have been unable to purchase a home for more than 5 months now because of this kind of behavior from Equifax, and have made my financial representatives well aware of what is going on throughout this process.
