I had XXXX and incurred medical expense along with some other health issues that also incurred out of pocket expense. Started paying multiple medical bills with the amount that i could monthly afford for all of them. CMRE has been accepting my money and applying it towards my balance. The monthly payment amount wasnt what they preferred me to pay and said it was not enough. They reported to the bureaus that XXXX, XXXX and XXXX that it was a collection, as if i had not been making payments. How is it legal to report that someone isnt paying when they have been? And have it impact a persons credit so negatively? I have receipts of payments i will include. But i will also say the other medical bills i have are happily and understandingly accepting the monthly payment amount that i can afford to pay them. During a pandemic and people struggling to pay bills, it is really horrible how this collection agency is conducting business. They are getting paid and will continue to be paid until the balance is paid off. But its very disturbing how they have no compassion for people who are trying to pay their bills but may not can afford to pay what cmre requires of them.
