Received initial call on XX/XX/XXXX and a subsequent text message on XX/XX/XXXX. Not once did the company disclose that theyre a collection agency. Looked up information and found out it is an old personal loan from XXXX. Received several calls afterwards regarding the same account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a voicemail that stated it was a final call and based on my public record, I needed to take care of this matter. Knowing it was a debt that was no longer collectible in my state, I called the company and spoke with XXXX. I advised her that it is a debt that is over XXXX years old and therefore is not collectible. I also advised I would be contacting an attorney regarding this obvious violation. She then states if I can afford an attorney then I can pay the debt and hung up the phone. The company is Direct Recovery Services.
