Nelnet is reporting that I am 180 days past due on a loan that was sent back to the Federal Government on XXXX. Nelnet showed a zero balance on this loan as of XX/XX/2021. I contacted Nelnet in XX/XX/2021 and was informed that the loan had been transfered. So, why are they still reporting that I am XXXX days past due. Also, the current holder of the loan stated that it is covered under the Cares Act and I would not be reported to any credit agency. XXXX is the only agency reporting this erroneous information.
