XXXX, XXXX. File XXXX Account Information : Account name : XXXX COLLECTIONS Account number : XXXX Original creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX IN CO. Date opened : XX/XX/2021. Payment status : Paid. Hello my name is XXXX, XXXX was a collection from XXXX reported to my credit that I was unaware of. It is for an XXXX auto insurance policy I terminated in XXXX. Allegedly there was some unpaid balance on the account which I never received communication regarding. I believe this is because the policy is to an address I do not currently reside at and is also not listed on my credit file ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), even though they had my new address. I proceeded to call XXXX XXXX insurance who admitted this mistake. I then got notice form XXXX insurance by email from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating if I pays, theyll instruct Credit Collection to remove the account from the credit report, since I was billed incorrectly. I then paid the account off and then after I called both XXXX and the collection company, I was told that they will not remove the account from the credit report. ( SEE ATTACHED EMAIL CHAIN WHICH PROVES I WAS TOLD ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED IF I PAID )
