On Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX I called my Federal student loan servicer Great Lakes Student Loans to lower my monthly payment while on Income Based Repayment. I had been paying {$53.00} prior to the pandemic and the Great Lakes Student Loans website confirmed that I would be paying {$53.00} after the pandemic. However, my daughter was born after this was assessed, so I called in to lower the rate by adding a dependent. When the agent calculated my new rate, she said it would be {$230.00}.
