I have repeatedly disputed a fraudulent account opened by someone stealing my identity through Experian. The original creditor is a company called XXXX. I have tried to work with the lender directly and has been unsuccessful. Ontop of that the information to contact them on my report is incorrect and I have to XXXX contact info. I have requested Experian BLOCK this information from my report as it appears the creditor is not properly investigating this identity theft. I have provided all required documents to include Police report, FTC Identity Theft report and my identification. I have uploaded these documents electronically and via US mail and Experian still refuses to block the information. They allow this lender to report this fraudulent account and update it monthly with charge offs to destroy my credit. They do not follow proper laws in place for victims of Identity Theft and make it impossible for the victims to move on with their lives. I have the same issue with another account through a company called XXXX. Again, someone I have never done business with and is most definitely a fraudulent account opened by someone who stole my identity. I again have reported the matter to the local police and uploaded all required documents like my id, police report, and FTC report. My credit is fairly decent and these accounts are not very expensive. It would be very easy to pay a few dollars to clear it up, however these accounts truely are fraudulent. I do not see why I should pay for something that I did not do. On top of that I have had an Extended fraud alert on all of my credit reports for years. With this fraud alert, no new accounts should have ever been opened without the companies following the law and verifing my identity and contacting me with the information listed in the fraud alert.
