I sent in a few letters over the past XXXX months the most recent one was stating the laws that Equifax violated and they sent me a letter in return stating that Inquiries are factual and can not be removed from a credit report. I also called them and the representative that I spoke to stated that they didn't have to abide by the United States XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX ( c ) ( XXXX ) ( A ) ( B ) ( i ) ( XXXX ) FURNISHING reports in connection with credit or insurance transactions that are not initiated by consumer and Permissible purposes of consumer reports Laws or any laws for that matter I asked to speak to a Senior XXXX Management to see if he would send me a affidavit of truth stating that they had something in written or signed by me authorizing Equifax to furnish the inquiries on my report in the first place and they said they didn't have to do that I asked could I have the name of the person I was speaking to they said no they didn't have to give that information out, so I said to the lady I was speaking with it seem to me that Equifax is able to furnish all my information for anyone to see with out my authorization and she said correct and then started acting like there was something wrong with the phone saying hello hello hello and hung up on me. I can't believe these are the people that are in control of our consumer credit reports. I have tried to take care of this matter with Equifax directly on a few different occasions but they will not operate within the guide lines of the law they refuse to.
