Both XXXX and TransUnion have acted on a fraudulent report from XXXX XXXX XXXX without performing any due diligence to lower my credit score by about XXXX points. When I called the organizations to dispute the charges, both organizations state they need 30 days to restore my credit even though I have the overwhelming evidence to prove the amount XXXX is stating I owe is fraudulent. It is unethical that the organizations will instantly drop a consumer 's credit score but will not restore it until after they complete their " investigation. '' Further both XXXX and TransUnion are attempting to circumvent the the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by preventing customers from reporting and providing evidence to dispute fraudulent charges. XXXX does not list the correct phone number for customers to call to dispute the charges. Their listed dispute phone number XXXX does not provide customers a way to speak to an agent. The correct number is XXXX which is hidden. For TransUnion, a customer can easily call in a dispute however they provide no easy way for a customer to submit supporting documentation. They request all evidence to be mailed to them via snail mail like it is the early XXXX.
