I received a call from Pro Com collection agency. I asked what the bill was that they were trying to collect on since I pay all bills recieved. They told me that the bill was sent to them by XXXX XXXX ( labratory billing service ) and that the bill was for a XX/XX/2019 date of service in the amount of {$44.00}. They were not able to give me an account number. I went on the XXXX XXXX of IL website and did not see a claim for that date/amount. I then called XXXX XXXX and spoke to XXXX. She said that they had never received a claim for that date/amount but that I did have a claim for that date with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX She then called XXXX XXXX XXXX ( who's bill was paid in full ) and was told that I had a urinalysis on that date and that they sent it to XXXX XXXX XXXX for a culture test to be performed. XXXX handles the pathology billing. She then called XXXX and spoke to XXXX ( Supervisor ). XXXX was unable to find my name or that date of service in their system and said he had to have an account number. I have tried to get XXXX to do further research and check collection files for the last few months to find this account but they do not seem willing to do so. They tell me that they will call me back, but never do. I am at a loss, I was unaware of this bill, my insurance was never billed and now neither the collection agency OR the billing company will take the steps to clear this up. I need help!!!
