In XXXX of 2021, I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX dealership in XXXX to finance a car. At the time, the dealership stated that I was approved, took my down payment and allowed me to drive off of the lot. Once I reached out to the finance company the next month to make a payment, they informed me that I had not been approved. I reached back out to the dealership and they said they were not aware and would be sure to fix the mishap. In the month of XXXX, I checked my credit report and I had over 10 new hard inquiries on my credit from the dealership in which I had no knowledge of, nor did I approve of. I had specific instructions for the dealership to not run my credit anymore and let me know if they wanted me to return the car. They told me they would not have to run my credit without informing me first and once I confronted the dealership they did not provide very many solutions. When I returned the car I asked for a letter to be sent off to remove the inquiries. The dealership agreed to send the letter and gave me a copy. The letter was supposed to be sent off in XXXX and I was promised to have them removed within 3 weeks. It has now been 5 months and all inquiries are still remaining on my credit. The manager of the dealership is no longer answering my calls and refusing to reach back out.
