I currently have an FHA mortgage with Loan Depot. I refinanced into a conventional loan to with another lender to save money on interest and PMI. My new lender 's settlement company sent Loan Depot funds to pay off on XX/XX/21. After a few days I notice my account with LD is still open. I call LD to see what is going on and they tell me that the funds were short {$700.00} and they had returned the funds back. Then I call the settlement company and they tell me they never got the funds back. Calling LD back to ask how they returned the funds and they said they don't know how the funds was sent back but they showed that it was sent back on the XXXX of XXXX. I wasn't supposed to make any mortgage payments for 2 months ( XXXX and XXXX ) because we closed month end of XXXX. I had to make XXXX payment because LD at that point seemed like they had lost the funds that was supposed to pay off my loan. I file a complaint with the XXXX and on XX/XX/21 LD returns the money the same day. Now my settlement company is requesting a back dated pay off statement that will deduct any interest and my XXXX payment, but LD is dragging thus process for days and says that they can't back date it because it's our fault. They had no idea where the money was fir almost 2 weeks and it's our fault? XXXX is coming up and my Loan is still not paid off because of LD. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX have been very transparent and helpful. The closing rep at XXXX is also extremely frustrated and is willingly supporting me with this complaint. I need this resolved asap as my Loan is supposed to be with XXXX XXXX not LD. PLEASE HELP.
