Consumer Narrative
XX/XX/XXXX XXXX tried to withdraw {$800.00} from my account, Wells Fargo declined the payment for insufficient funds. Many attempts were made to withdraw these funds. After many more attempts were made, an associate for the Wells Fargo decided to let me know I am a divorced woman and I was given a last chance checking account, which means My account has many limits which has been on the account since opening in XXXX. The amount for any withdrawals can not exceed {$500.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo charged {$35.00}. for overdraft fee which Wells Fargo forced to happen, plus refusing to pay because over limits on the account! With this last chance checking account Wells Fargo holds all transactions until their system makes a decision wether to pay said transaction. This causes my account to back up with so many transactions I can not make out what Wells Fargo is doing, they seem to have a lag time on last chance accounts. I have proven to myself I AM A DIVORCED WOMAN AND I CAN TAKE CARE OF my credit score, my recent vehicle purchase and two new credit cards all with absolutely No help from Wells Fargo! Wells Fargo refused to allow a one time limit increase on my debit to allow the down payment to go through, that was when I was told, since I am a divorced woman, I was given an account with very limited access! Now my new vehicle I just purchased is in danger of being repossessed because Wells Fargo has decided to discriminate against a divorced woman. I have four direct deposits going into my Wells Fargo account and that has been set that way since opening the account.
