My letter below to TransUnion describes the problem I am having with them. They are not critically looking at the merits of the information provided by a collection agency. They are just " checking the boxes ''. -- -- TransUnion XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . XXXX, PA XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Dear Sir or Madame : I am XXXX XXXX and this in reference to TransUnion file number : XXXX I am writing to request that incorrect derogatory information on my TransUnion credit report be immediately removed from your reporting. This is regarding information that was provided to TransUnion by a collection agency named XXXX XXXX XXXX, # XXXX Over the course of the last couple of months I have used your online dispute resolution process twice and your call-in process once. Both have had unsatisfactory results. Each time, TransUnion responded to my dispute request by stating, in a form letter, that the information provided by the collection agency, such as my name and address, was accurate. This collection agency apparently did provide some document showing me as a debtor. What I really need TransUnion to understand is that : I did NOT enter into a debt arrangement with this collection agency, or the organization they represent. The organization they are representing is a former employer that is attempting to use the credit agency process to claw back compensation paid to me. This is NOT a debt issue, if anything it is a contract issue, and the reporting agency should take legal action if they believe they are justified in doing so. TransUnion is not able to pass legal judgement on a contract dispute. I need TransUnion to do more than check the boxes here as it is my credit record that is being adversely impacted without justification. Regards, XXXX XXXX
